Photos show Iranian artists marking ‘Tasua’

Pictures of Iranian artists have surfaced online marking the 9th day of Muharram, ‘Tasua’, in the country.

The pictures include Iranian renowned artists such as Siavash Kheirabi, Akbar Abdi, Mohammad Alizadeh, Amir Jafari, Amir Nouri, Nima Karami and others.

Every year, in Muharram, Muslims in Iran and other Islamic country mourn the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Tasua and Ashura (the ninth and the tenth days of Muharram) symbolize the peak of mourning days.
